Film Society Programme 2007-8

This season our films include comedy, drama, fantasy and documentary and foreign language drama. We are also hosting informal discussion sessions on selected films. All films screen at 8.00pm on the 3rd Friday of the month, except December.

The season will run from September to May The society is an independent, membership organisation. The cost of membership (£27 for this season) includes admission to all screenings and the option of buying guest tickets. Guest tickets will cost £4.00. These can be purchased in advance by members for friends or family for a particular film.

We will continue providing tasty refreshments at each screening. There will be a social focus too, and we have planned informal discussion on selected films. Notes on each film will be available at each screening. The Society hopes to do film courses and seasons of a particular genre, country or director in the future. Members of the Society must be aged 16 or over, but we plan to host special children's screenings and film making workshops for younger people.
