John Cairney presents "Greasepaint Monkey - An Actor on Acting"

John Cairney makes a welcome return to Carlops in his new one man show which looks at the life of the actor both on and off stage. In this show, drawing on his lifetime's experience of the stage, John puts the spotlight on the mysetery behind the mystique of the actor, the sweat behind the greasepaint, and the excitement to be found in the second oldest trade in the world.

TREE

TREE is a programme of new writing and musical responses to the tree , wood and forest presented by writers Jackie Galley and Vivien Jones, and musicians Michael Hendry, Rebecca Hendry, Richard Jones and Vivien Jones. Poetry and music are natural companions – both rely on rhythm and lyrical power to become memorable - together they can make more than the sum of their parts, and so the idea was born to work with a small group of musicians to enhance the texts with sound textures.

Tickets at £5  are available from 01968 660388 or 01968 660727. A chapbook with details of the performance will be available at £3.00.
